Star Wars: Empire of dreams Screener, DVD, A&E USA, 2005
|
This is a "Screener" copy of the 2005 documentary "Star Wars: Empire of Dreams". It came on a piece of cardboard, with the disc affixed with a foam rubber hub.
The 90-minute documentary is in 1.78:1 widescreen, but not anamoprhically enhanced. The DVD menu is just a basic chapter list, and there are no company logos or copyright warnings of any kind. Known as "screeners", free copies are sent to members of the Emmy academy to urge them to vote for your programme. Screeners are not supposed to ever reach the public, but I've seen quite a number of these on eBay over the years. As you can see, this Star Wars documentary was submitted in the category of "Outstanding Nonfiction Special". There was also a VHS screener. A tip: If you store this upright, the glue on the foam rubber hub goes, and your disc will slide slowly down. It takes a while, like watching grass grow, but if you're bored... |
