Star Wars Episode I debuted on VideoCD in Thailand in 2000 from local distributor CVD International.
This is the subtitled version, with original the English soundtrack.
The CVD company also issued Eps. 2 and 3 on VCD. The other two releases have slipcovers, so I suspect this also had one at one time, but mine came without one from eBay. You can see the remains of a seal sticker across the opening of the jewel case. |
The film is split across two discs, as the VideoCD format could only fit roughly 67 minutes of video to a disc. When ripping the discs, I found a chapter guide on disc 2, which I presume would have shown up as a "menu screen" on some VCD playback devices. I cound not find a corresponding screen on disc 1.
