North-American sell-through release from 1987, updated to include a trailer for the 10-year anniversary of Star Wars.
This tape is easily confused with the first issue from 1984. This 1987 version has a "The First 10 Years" trailer at the beginning. The sleeves and tape label are identical, and both bear a copyright date of 1984, so the only way to tell them apart is to play them. Comes in the US-standard cardboard sleeve. The labels come loose over time, and you can see the glue starting to go in two of my examples above. I found a label for The Sea Hawk under the label on one of the tapes. I don't believe this is a case of being a counterfeit tape, just that the replicator was reusing leftover stock. |
