German sell-through release of The Ewok Adventure from 1990. There is a German-dubbed trailer for Empire before the film starts. They've included the Fox fanfare in front of the film, making it feel more like a proper Star Wars movie. The German title card translates to "The Ewoks - Caravan of the courageous". Like all films in Germany this was dubbed in German, but the credits remain in English. The German voice for Eric Walker (Mace) sounds very young, and makes the character come off even more immature than in the original. The end credits fade out abruptly before the music is finished.
Part of the Silver Screen Collection from Germany. This appears to be #53. Guess this collection hogged some shelf space, huh? When I bought this on eBay in 2011 I noticed that the back cover doesn't have a UPC code, which originally led me to believe this tape could have been part of a box set or some type of collection. After some quick research I see that many of the Silver Screen collection releases have a blank space where the UPC would have been, so this was most likely a standalone release. The security stickers on the side of the tape indicate this was a rental at some point. The text translates as "Damage to the security sticker entails purchase or reporting." |
