From Star Wars to Jedi, VHS, 20th Century-Fox Home Ent. Japan 1995

The documentary is identical to every other version worldwide, but with Japanese subtitles (the back specifies the translator as Yukiko Nakagami). The end of the tape has a short test signal used by the replicator for quality control purposes, accompanied by on-screen text explaining its function.

I bought this tape loose on eBay, but I suspect it is part of a box set, as it doesn't have a separate UPC. Also, Japanese standalone releases usually have clamshell cases, not the flimsy cardboard sleeve used here. I have found some auctions on eBay listing this as a "Non-sale promotional item". The disclaimer on the back cover says "permitted only for sale or rental for home use", but the label on the actual tape contradicts that and says "Not for sale". If it was indeed a promo item, I have no idea how, and with what, it was made available.

Japan uses the same video signal system as the US (NTSC), so Japanese tapes are compatible with US VCRs.
