Droids Vol.1, VHS, MAYCO A/S, Norway 1988

Only two volumes of Droids were released in Norway. Unlike most animated children's programming, these episodes were not dubbed in Norwegian but had subtitles only. This must have limited the appeal to local youngsters. The episodes are presented with a single set of opening and closing credits, but retaining the title cards at the beginning of each episode.

The 80's rental tapes from Norwegian distributor MAYCO are extremely rare. The company enforced a strict rule of having every tape returned after the rental store's lease ended. Therefore, relatively few tapes from the company are available on the open market. I got this tape in 2018 on a Facebook group dedicated to old, Norwegian rental tapes.
