Star Wars Episode I Screener, VHS, Lucasfilm 2000

Known as "screeners", free copies are sent to members of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences ("Oscars") to urge them to vote for your programme. Screeners are not supposed to ever reach the public, but this one shows up on eBay from time to time, as mine did in 2008.
The film is offered in Widescreen, with Hi-Fi Stereo sound. There are intermittent watermarks that say "Property of Lucasfilm", but otherwise the film is the same as any commercial release from the time. Compared to the commercially available tape, this one has minor differences on the cassette label. The catalogue no. of the Academy screener is also different.
