This tape could be purchased separately or as part of this box set. This marked the first time the original trilogy was available in a boxed set.
The film comes in cropped "fullscreen" format, with English Hi-Fi Stereo audio. The audio mix contains C-3PO's "tractor beam" line. At the beginning of the tape is a 5-minute promo for the Star Wars Trilogy on VHS, also plugging the "Making of a Saga" documentary. The box set was reissued in 1992 with the Fox Home Entertainment logo, but retaining an identical catalogue number. |
