The Empire Strikes Back, Laserdisc, CBS/Fox video, 1984

Released in 1984, this was the first issue of The Empire Strikes Back on Laserdisc in the US. This edition featured analog stereo tracks and a fullscreen picture. The film is just under two hours, so fits snugly on a single Laserdisc.
One year later, this would be joined by a CAV-formatted version. The jackets are just about identical, so at first glance they might be mistaken for each other, especially if going by small images on an online auction. |
